The property is very nice and clean. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food was mediocre at best, the buffet was very generic. You can make reservations for different restaurants on the resort but they are constantly trying to charge you more money for different foods (shrimp, lobster, better cuts of steak). We paid $2000 CAD for 7 days. I've definitely been to better resorts for the price. Based on where your room is located there is a TON of walking back and fourth to the front main lobby area (that's where all the restaurants and bars are located). They don't offer any sort of shuttle service back and fourth. Not a horrible ressort, but if you are looking for fine dinning and an upscale buffet this wouldn't be the place for you.

The wife and I have made more than one trip here. We upgraded for the platinum package on both occasions. On the second trip I was sad to see that Crown Royal was no longer available at the bars. We were placed in Riviera the first time and Sunset the second. Riviera platinum is a lot closer to the beach access. The resort is large so prepare to do some walking. (Not a bad thing when a person can eat and drink as much as they can here.) I want to give a special thank you to Leonardo at the concierge desk in the Sunset Platinum lobby. He told me he has been on the job two weeks and the guy is already. Fantastic. He went above and beyond to help the wife and I. He is super friendly, made the experience that much better. If he is this good at his job in two weeks, I can only imagine how he will be in two years. We liked the Riviera side being closer to the beach, but would come back up sunset just to deal with Leonardo again. We will definitely be coming back. As well as a thank you to Ricardo, our waiter in the Miso restaurant. Amazing personality, helpful, kind, and funny. He can turn a persons mood around after a rough, rainy, and miserable day outside. The only things would like to see is security doing more rounds through the platinum beach area to move the non platinum members off of the lounge chairs, so the platinum members can use them. That and if a lounge chair is left vacant for 90 minutes, security should remove the towel someone left behind to “hold” their place, and let someone who wants to use the chair actually use it. Our first day on the beach, we went out at 7am to get a spot and watch the sun come up. The entire front row was covered by towels. By 12:30 there was still lounge chairs that no one came to use. People finally showed up after lunch, lay there for three hours and then left. It would be nice if people that were there to enjoy the sun and view of the ocean could actually use the lounge chairs they pay extra to have the privilege of using.

We had an excellent experience at this resort. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were well maintained and the food was delicious all round. The Italian restaurant was our favourite. Mariano took good care of us. Highly recommend.

The hotel territory is very beautiful and I really appreciate how the hotel team took care of the grounds! Wildlife was amazing to observe and we really enjoying doing lots of walking there. However, we have see numerous things for improvement. Room: The mattress was firm, the pillows were uncomfortable (we asked for replacement but there were no other pillow options). The walls were pretty thin and we could hear other peoples’ TV and noises at night. Found some gross dirt between Jacuzzi and the wall. Buffet: The food presentation at the buffet was poor, looks like no one tried to keep it nice and clean. Messy on the dishes and around them. Hot vegetarian meal options were limited or non existent at all. Service at the buffet was okay but I guess could be more pleasant and smiley. Restaurants: It was fine, always could find something for a vegetarian. I wish the app could accommodate a family of 4 as a single reservation. We had to do separate bookings, which was very inconvenient. Beach: nice beach with lots of sun beds and shadow.

Paid for the platinum experience, would say it’s good money for value. Had some problems in the private pool area with guest stealing the day beds from us, concierge wasn’t the least bit helpful. Said there was nothing they could do. Put a very bad taste in our mouth. The beach was good for the most part. Certain areas were very, Very rocky, lots of seaweed that came with an unpleasant smell. Low visibility in the water. Restaurants all had good parts to them. Not all the food was good, but the service we found to be great in all places, from Buffett to restaurants. The taco stall near one of the pools had amazing food, typically always a line up. Entertainment at night was great, lots of options to choose from. Overall it was a fairly good experience. Money for value is good if you get the trip on a deal. I wouldn’t pay full price for this place. Not very sure if we will be back in the future.
