Very old hotel - the rooms stink of cigarette smoke, the furniture and carpets are old and some of the rooms don’t have windows. Air conditioning is very loud and does not work well. Very poor selection for breakfast - food is cold and poor quality m. Good location in Houhai.

Stayed here a few times, I think the location is excellent, walk out the door and its the biggest shopping complex in Shenzhen at your doorstep. Inside the hotel is a good 4 star level, rooms are very good, all the extras such as bathrobes etc that western hotels have managed to forget these days. Stayed in one room with no windows, didn't bother me, was really quiet and relaxing. The breakfast had a half and half - Chinese and western, can take your pick, cooked breakfast etc. Staff is typical Chinese style formal, not all smiley smiley, but cant expect any different, it is in China.

I stayed at this Hotel around the time it opened in 2007 for about a month. Well yeh its a great Hotel, service was fabulous although communication was a little difficult. This Hotel has the lot and spotless as I do have a cleaning business. I highly recommend it, enjoy.
