Stayed in a 2-preson dorm room, it is basic but full of style. it is clean and cozy, the building itself is beautiful. However the wall of the dorm room is too thin and I hear noise from the neighbors. Shower room is great and they offer bathe too. Breakfast is the traditional one, it is expensive so just try once is enough. Everything is good but I will experience other guesthouse next time as Kyoto is so huge to visit.

We had a great time here, it’s not in a city center but definitely worth it if you want to have an experience of traditional Japanese house style. The owner was very helpful as well. He also helped me to book the kimono with very good price. Thanks again

I had a fantastic time staying here. Making an online reservation was easy, they spook good English, rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. My group stayed here to get away from Tokyo for a night and experience traditional Japanese culture. Guesthouse Kingyoya went above and beyond to deliver that experience. If I vacation back to Japan in a few years, I will be traveling back to Kyoto to stay another night!
