You can tell this was once a REALLY nice place, but its heyday has passed. It's dated and SLIGHTLY shabby. The walls and carpet are a bit dingy. BUT, it's still a nice place and has a GREAT pool. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows well-used. The bathroom was small and could use an upgrade. Carpeted floor in the room is indoor-outdoor carpet...do they still make that? There is a small restaurant, whose menu looked decent, although a bit pricey. There is also a small bar; I saw patrons enjoying a drink in the evenings. There is no free breakfast, which suits me fine because those are usually pretty lousy. There are meeting rooms...I could visualize one of my fraternal orders holding a district meeting here and everyone enjoying it. Staff was friendly and efficient. The television was small compared to most modern rooms. Adequate digital device charging stations were NOT available; fortunately, I travel with my own port fir multiple devices. There was NO REFRIGERATOR and NO MICROWAVE, which was inconvenient. The ice was far from the room, a floor down and near the pool. There is NO ELEVATOR. There are only ten rooms at ground level. My 74-year-old knees were not happy about that, because my room was up a flight (or rather, two half-flights) of stairs. It got chilly and started raining and I found that my heat was not working. The maintenance staff fixed it quickly. I dined in the restaurant for dinner, ordering the Caesar Salad with Chicken, which was very good. That was really the only gluten-free option.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff is so nice and were super accommodating. I booked a basic room and told them I was there for my anniversary and Albert, one of the managers, surprised me with an upgrade to a pool view room… which looks like a resort—so gorgeous! The food at the restaurant is also delicious. Definitely stay here if you have a chance to visit San Diego!

I've no issues to speak of. This was my 3rd stay since 2001...We slept with zero disturbances. Fitness room • A Beautiful Pool • Restaurants/Eatery in The Hotel made it unnecessary to travel to eat...unless you just want something specific. Breakfast was fantastic and likewise so was supper. Beds were comfortable. The decor was warm and relaxing inside and out. Landscaping was Delightful. The shower was adequate , personally...I prefer more water pressure , but it was fine. ❤❤❤

The bathroom is the tiniest bathroom I've ever seen. Not good for females that wanna do there hair and makeup. no where to put ur things on, it drove me crazy. Sink counter only big enough for hair brush. So much unnecessary furniture in room taking up space and no microwave, replace one of the extra pieces of furniture for a microwave. and we spend 8 days there needed it microwave and a working Fridge, and it was really small real small n freezing everything. Only Rose Mary at front desk was very nice and welcoming at the front desk others not so much. Bed was comfortable and house keeping service they were all very nicespoke no english but very lovely. Drinks are very expensive at the bar like being at the night club expect its very boring. I told Rose Mary and and another female at front desk about the bathroom was very tiny and being uncomfortable and the fridge was freezing everything and they needed to put a microwave in the rooms, Rose Mary apologized but the other female with glasses short, Sort of heavy didn't care the slightest bit she gave me attitude and was rude. And no one did anything about the fridge freezing everything. Very dated. The lobby n bar the entrance looks good but the rooms not so much. They spent their money on lobby more than the rooms. We wouldn't stay there again or recommend it!
