We recently spent three nights total at the Hanoi Nostalgia. This was arranged as part of a tour package. I was very impressed with the hotel and especially the service. The rooms, while a bit small were very comfortable. The breakfast downstairs was very good. My high compliments to the staff in the breakfast area as well as the front desk. They are all very kind, gracious, and accommodating. We left almost feeling like family (-:

Had a 2 night stay here early October. Clean quiet room at the back, comfortable beds, great air con. Pool on ground floor just the ticket. Very accommodating staff who made us feel very welcome with all our comings and goings. Great spot in the Old Quarter - highly recommend.

Service was perfect, they are always there for you and for your questions. Good choice of local and continental food for the breakfast. Location is ideal. It’s next to bars, night life and in the middle of the old quarter. It’s noisy so I wouldn’t recommend it if you are sensitivity to noise. Everything is accessible by foot which makes the local experience amazing. There are three negative points that I want to highlight though. When we arrived in the room, the toilet seat hadn’t been cleaned properly. It was wet and I honestly don’t think it was water looking at it. We cleaned it ourselves with disinfectant. It’s unfortunate because besides this the hotel is perfect. Second part is that when you arrive, they tell you : “water is included. In the mini bar you have 2 Coca Cola and 2 beers that are not included.” Great. We drank two small bottles of water which were in the mini bar and we had to pay for it. Apparently the water that was included was tap water. We cannot drink tap water. It’s really a small detail so no big deal but I though it was a bit absurd and disappointing. Third part each room have some windows but you have to keep the blind closed because they overlook the inner hotel courtyard and everyone can see you. We did not use the spa or pool.
