I stayed in a superior room and no complaints. Good value for money. Loved the hard bed. Nice decor. Its not a brand new hotel but again great value for money The front desk staff are simply delightful. Very helpful and accomodating. One area that is very poor is the upstairs restaurant. You can read my review on that separately. I also noted many guests from India. Unfortunately many of these guests were loud and rude. Holding up the lift without regard to other guests and talking loudly so that it was disturbing. Not the Hotels fault but definitely took away from the enjoyment of staying here

Swimming pool is good, since hcmc is hot and humid, you can swim in the night and its warm water, it is a bit awkward when there are people sitting at the bar since they can just look at you and looks like it needs a renovation to make it look top notch but its a decent swimming pool overall. The breakfast here is the best breakfast out of any hotel I went to in all of Vietnam. Has pretty much everything, toast, cereal, eggs, bacon and they have Asian food and Vietnamese food, pho was nice. Their service is also the best, everyone working there from reception to dining area, they will always lookout for ways to help you. Also they speak perfect English. They also clean our room at the right times and will provide you with extra stuff like shampoos or towels if you need it. And they always open the door for you which is a nice touch. The hotel itself is in a great location, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, very busy streets for you to soak in all their street culture. The rooms were nice but I think its just barely 4 stars. Its good enough for you to sleep comfortably, the view out the window wasn't the best. The only downside was the toilet had a very weak flush so that was uncomfortable. TLDR: Great Breakfast, Great Service, Good Swimming Pool and Good rooms, Good Location, Bad toilet.

Ok,if you come from Europe or maybe USA= 4 star hotel in this part (?) of Asia is not the same,but this hotel had amazing staff. beyond friendly,super respectful. Rooms were ok,pool and roof Garden really cool. gym..is a joke,just forget it. If you have guests over (yes you know what I mean) they check their ids and they inform you before they can come upstairs. That means they value your safety. If I come back to Nam and I want a value for money “luxurious” hotel,I will go there again and again, Ps Their restaurant is great!

I regret to share my incredibly disappointing experience at the Happy Life Hotel & Sky Bar. Our stay was marred by several issues that deeply impacted our visit. Firstly, the rooms were shockingly minuscule, offering barely enough space to move around comfortably. The loudness from the hallways disrupted any chance of relaxation, making it impossible to have a peaceful stay. Moreover, the hotel's environment was not conducive to families with children. The most distressing aspect was the discovery of a bed bug in our supposedly upgraded suite. Despite our clear identification of the insect, the staff dismissively labeled it as an ant. Upon closer inspection by multiple parties, including myself, it was unmistakably a bed bug. Shockingly, the staff refused to acknowledge the severity of the situation or offer a satisfactory resolution. Their reluctance to refund our stay or effectively address the issue was deeply disappointing and concerning. In summary, the cramped rooms, disruptive hallways, lack of child-friendliness, and the distressing encounter with bed bugs tainted what was supposed to be a pleasant stay. The hotel's dismissive response to a serious concern such as bed bugs is unacceptable, leaving us with a feeling of complete dissatisfaction and a lack of trust in the establishment's commitment to guest comfort and safety.

Very bad experience with this hotel. We book a room via Agoda app the day before. The day of check in, my boyfriend got sick overnight from food poisoning. I’ve decided to go early in the morning to see if we could have early check in. They said unfortunately our room got water damaged and they will need to relocate us to a sister hotel 2km away with no pool that cost half the price. I declined the offer because it didn’t meet our expectations and ask to cancel the booking. They said ok we can stay at this hotel but we can only check in at 2pm. I said ok and left. We came back around 12:30pm to ask to use the pool facilities while we waited for our room to be ready. They said unfortunately we can’t stay at the hotel and offered to help us book somewhere else. I got pretty upset at this point, they could have cancel my reservation when I ask them too in the morning or call to let us know. I had to call Agoda myself to cancel the reservation because they said they offered us an alternative, they did not cancel our booking. Very poor costumer services, I don’t understand why they didnt simply transfer us to a different room instead. My poor boyfriend had to wait an hour in the lobby sick while I figure out where we would stay. We had to pay for a taxi twice to get there and then to our next hotel. Very disappointed, I will not book or recommend this hotel!
