We stopped here for 1 night while passing through for our vacation. We had a wonderful experience. It was great to be away from the main hotel strip in Cancun, it was quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean and unique - the private roof top pool was such a nice touch. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and kind. The only thing I would dock points from this stay would be the continental breakfast. It only includes toast, fruit, coffee, and juice. However, the rest of the breakfast menu was reasonably priced and was pretty good! Would definitely come back here.

Loved this hotel. The rooms are large and modern. Polite and professional staff. Pool was nice, jacuzzi could have been a little hotter. Continental breakfast was included. This is more of a business oriented hotel than a tourist hotel as it isn't near the beaches.

I was robbed, scammed and cheated here. Items were taken from my room, by my clothes at the pool, and this was done by Staff!! I paid for a King Suite with the private pool and it was the worst decision of 2023. The pool doesn’t work… none of them seem to. They’re all sharing the same water source so the pressure and temperature is constantly dropping and freezing you. I stayed in my room by the phone, away from sun, beach, life.. because maintenance was pretending as if they wanted to resolve this hot water issue..(which is also affecting the shower) from 7am to 3pm. Being 35 minute drive and a $60 taxi from the Hotel Zone, it wasn’t worth going into the desired areas at that late hour. After 3pm I tried to just deal with the other “amenities “. But they aren’t any. Nothing that is advertised or shown on the website, other than the filthiest gym known to man, is actually accessible, or operational. Overall, I paid $600 on a stay at Hive, to be stolen from (diamond ring and AirPods) by staff, cheated out of everything they advertised, but mishandled and taken advantage of monetarily. I was constantly strung on as if they wanted to help, until the next shift came on and they left me to start the battle all over again. This was the worst experience and these aren’t even all the issues.

Either the bar is really low for other reviewers or the ratings are from friends and family of the staff. There is no way possible that anyone who normally stays at 4/5 star hotels rated Hive a 4 star. This hotel is more of a 2/3. Grant it management has tried to give the hotel a facelift with the layout and decor; however the bamboo just doesn't cut it. THE HOTEL IS DIRTY. There is nothing more to write after Dirty. The stains on the walls and ceilings were enough for me to check out of this establishment and book an actual 4/5 star hotel. There was only one towel and the SHOWER GEL was empty, REALLLLYYYYY!!???? What 4/5 star hotel doesn't replace or fill the shower gel for their guest? The nightstand had stains I'm guessing from the previous guest. How do you clean a room and not wipe down the basics? The base of the walls are MOLDED. Please be aware and believe the negative reviews. I sure wish I had listened. Oh and don't get me started on the location and views. This hotel is a joke.
