Went to check in and they didn’t let my little cousin stay who is 17 even though they knew as it was booked with passports waited till we got there before they told us and said it was non refundable so we booked a hotel 5 minutes away called hotel catalonia hispalis so much more helpful round about the same price and a better environment

Arrived late at night but check in prompt however we had to walk around corner to second block to access room. Very dark to enter and room very small. OK for one night as we had flight in morning. Good price and comfortable.

Me and my girl were staying at Hostal Alamare for 3 nights. The room was dark like some kind of dungeon, not to mention there was only a small windowt facing the hallway (from reasons unknown to me) so you cant even get fresh air or any air whatsoever because the window cannot be open otherwise your neighbours or anybody passing you by in the hallway will see your entire room. So basically you are left in a dark cave, there is no oxygen and it get even worse when you take shower because the moist cannot go anywhere. Another thing to mention are the paper-thin walls. You can hear anything, your neighbours flushing the toilet or laughing hysterically at 4 AM accompanied by the sound of a bottle dropping down the floor and some spanish soap opera playing in the background from the TV... we couldnt sleep at all, just a few hours of low quality intermittent sleep. The bed was not the cleanest either, there were some stains of unknown origin on the pillow cases and bed sheets. The bathroom was quite clean, no complaints there just the issue with moist as mentioned earlier.. We asked for a room exchange the next morning and eventhough the room was better, it did not improve our overall experience much. It is an experience we would rather not have. The hostel is not the cheapest either and the location is pretty far from center so I really do not understand the poor quality provided. Definitely not worth it!! Do not recommend!!
