The facilities are okay in shared space, for example refrigerator, water dispenser, etc.. it is very convenient with restaurants and supermarkets. However, I was very dissatisfied with the basic facilities of the room. The temperature of the bath water, Wi-Fi and soundproofing were bad. The temperature of the bath water in my room is a bit cooler, if other rooms use hot water to take a bath, my room has no hot water. the Wi-Fi signal is very poor, we can not receive any Wi-Fi signal in our room. The soundproofing was not good, I could hear snoring from next door all night. I was very disappointed with the functionality of the basic amenities in the room, although the front desk was very welcoming. The extra star given was that the hot water was fixed on the day we check out.

We stayed at this hostal the past few days and loved it! The rooms were nice and clean and had such a nice flaire. Even better was the service!!! A huge thank you goes to the manager, he always helped with anything we needed and it seemed as if he could make everything possible while he even added some tips or tricks. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to everyone:)

We stayed Hostal Martinval for 3 nights. It is a perfect place to explore Barcelona. The location of the hostal is 10-20 min. To each popular location by walk. We almost walk everywhere from there except the airport :) rooms are exactly same with the pictures. It was cleaned every they and the atmosphere was felt as the hygienic room. We really enjoyed our accommodation in Hostal Martinval. The receptionists are very kind and helpful. They you so much for our good experience 💕 🥰🥰

Just came back from 4 nights here and wanted to say thanks to Marta, Manuel and the team for a great welcome and a very comfortable stay :) The Martinval is really central - within 20 minutes walk of Sagrada Familia to the East and Las Ramblas to the West, with Parc Guelle 30 mins walk North and the beach 30 mins to the South. It's also surrounded by a range of really good bakeries, cafes, restaurants and bars where prices are more reasonable than many we saw. Can't wait until our next visit!
