A group of my friends booked a stay there for the spring, and as a local resident I went over to check the place out. The poor customer service I received resulted in a full cancellation and the hostel losing a bit over 500€ in revenue. It was quite clear the location was unsafe even in daylight and the staff was far from helpful or polite. Unfortunately it's a common issue with these prime location low cost establishments - since there's never a shortage of customers, giving good service is their last priority.

I don't understand why there are really bad reviews, the hostal must belong to different owners now. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The street was a bit noisy but that's Barcelona! Could hear the guests in the bedroom next to mine but it's still a good price-quality for this city.

I cancelled a reservation at this hotel, giving them time fill the room during their peak season. Despite asking politely, they refused to refund any of my room fee. This shows the general nature of the ownership of this business -- greedy.

I didn’t expect much because the price is not high. Surprisingly everything turns out great. Super friendly and helpful service with smile. Clean room. We slept soundly - no loud noise in the middle of the night. The hotel is located close to Metro station. Convenience to go to attractions and supermarket. Only cons for me is the Wifi connection was too low when we were in the room. Overall was an impressive stay for us 🙂

Staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and we were able to leave our bags prior to check in. The room was a major disappointment. It was clean but tiny, claustrophobic and very run down. Not at all like to rooms in the photos online. The bed was uncomftorable, the pillows had no stuffing and the only window was faced into a loud indoor courtyard. The air conditioner was broken and the towel-rack fell off the wall when I tried to hang a towel. Would have expected more for the price.
