If you want an authentic stay in historic Florence with the best location, this is the place! 5 minute walk to anything you would want to do including the train which will take you anywhere in Italy in less than two hours. The brother and sister run the hotel and are very nice. They are very accommodating and take excellent care of their guests. One reminder, since it is authentic, no elevator and about 3 flights of stairs to the hotel floor. Not a problem for us but some may need to be aware.

A very sweet couple runs it. They were very helpful, especially they were very kind to keep our bags at the hotel. We were able to travel comfortably on the last day. If I have to say something about the hotel, it was very nice and authentic and it was extra nice that it was very close to the square.

Perfetto location, old fashion style perfectly matches Firenze 's mood. Though old, the room are cozy and very clean. Great value for the price. Owners are sweet and helpful.

Perfect accessibility (a few minutes walk to the Duomo), beautiful rooms in castle style, air conditioning. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel even after check-out, which was very handy. The price-performance ratio was great. The only thing we would reproach is the PIN code that the guest uses to access the hotel. This should definitely be changed due to security!! Also, from the room you can very much hear everything going on in the shared areas (where the reception and breakfast is). We were woken up by noise like this before 5am, so we didn't get much sleep. The soundproofing between individual rooms is good. The breakfast was nice, although there was only sweet option. There wasn't much choice (just pastries, jam, coffee, juice, biscuits, nothing else) but this was in line with the price.
