Hotel Androoms Kyoto Shichijo

The best hotel in all the Japan hotels we were… great location like 5min from Kyoto station, very nice public hot pool Water for woman and another for man was so relaxing… clean rooms the only negative I have is the filters from the AC has tons of dust is the only I hate from this hotel. But I will definitely come back to this hotel.

[Solo female review] Absolutely loved staying here for 7 nights in Sep2023. The location is great: less than 10 minutes from Kyoto Station, next to Family Mart, and less than 5 minutes from Don Quijote. I stayed in a room on the 5th floor that had a queen bed. I’m small so the room and bathroom size didn’t bother me (Japan has even smaller stays). I thought it would’ve been at least sufficient if my boyfriend had stayed with me. The room itself was clean, designed well, cozy, and overall great. I thought the bed was comfortable, but the pillows could use improvement and offer more support. I’m a very light sleeper so I was initially concerned about noise when booking. Turns out it’s generally quiet, I noticed I could hear external noise past 8:30-9am (which is when I needed to be up anyway). Overall the noise never bothered me. I had a room view of a preschool which I didn’t care for, I mostly kept the window closed because I liked the room vibes on its own. The room itself had slippers, PJs, baskets for going to the sento, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, hot water kettle, mugs, mini fridge, ice bucket, deodorizing spray (for shoes), the little tool that helps you put shoes on, hangers, and an air purifier. The hotel amenities are enjoyable. There’s a cafe in the lobby that I never went to but seemed nice. They offered free bike rentals which I also didn’t use but seemed nice. They offer a lounge area for after using the sento. Complimentary ice pops, vending machines for drinks, ice machine, and a microwave is in that area. There’s also 3-4 washer+dryer combos which were very easy to use (around 500 yen). The sento itself was nice, especially after being cleaned which was 3pm. I went around 4-5pm while everyone was out and about, and it was empty and peaceful. The hotel provides shampoo, conditioner, body wash, small combs, small toothbrushes w/ a tiny toothpaste, razors, cotton pads, and Q-tips free of charge in the lobby and in the sento. The hotel offers fresh towels daily as well. Check in was easy, the woman who helped me spoke some English. The check out process was easy, I used the kiosk and it took less than 1 min. As a solo female, I felt safe at this hotel. It was a great experience for me. I will 100% book again when I’m back in Kyoto!
