My stay at Hotel Barchetta in Como was a mixed experience. The breathtaking view of the lake from the hotel was absolutely mesmerizing, creating a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The staff were not only welcoming but also understanding, making every effort to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast served at the hotel was a delightful spread of delicious options, adding a positive note to the mornings. However, the major drawback was the lack of privacy in the rooms. The thin walls seemed to amplify sound, making it feel as though the neighboring room's activities were taking place right in your space. This issue significantly impacted the overall tranquility and comfort of the stay. While the view, staff, and breakfast were commendable, the noise transfer between rooms is a notable concern that potential guests should be aware of before booking at Hotel Barchetta in Como.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Barchetta Excelsior! The room was simple but comfortable. We had an amazing view of the lake from our room’s balcony. The staff were very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed the daily wide array of breakfast items which was provided as part of our stay. The location cannot be beat. Steps away from the ferry to go to other towns around the lake. A quick walk to the sights of Como and the funicular to go to Brunate. The only downside was the walls are rather thin, so we often heard our neighbors as well as doors opening/closing along the hall. But overall we greatly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

My reservation was in (city view) and it was from the back of the hotel so I ask him to upgrade the room to (lake view) adding 15 euros per night and it was a great view. The location of the hotel was great, it was located in the center of Como and everything was around. Breakfast was limited but good and the service and staff were good. The room did not have a minibar, kettle or iron. In the end I love the hotel and I will come back again😍👍

I’m not sure why this hotel has a 4 star rating…there is no way. Rooms are extremely dated and overpriced to be in such condition. We paid 435 eu which includes tax for city view. Attached pics of it. I wish we had booked down the street with a lake view for more $. Rooms desperately need new paint job and have many drywall repairs needed with multiple cracks throughout the room. I would say the rooms just look tired and would be a 2 star in the US. Breakfast was good although if you can’t eat dairy or eggs, not much else to eat other than breads/cakes/fruit. Most people looked like they were enjoying it so this is just an issue with me. Location is very good although next to McDonalds brings alot of people on weekends.

Although I was unable to stay at the Barchetta hotel due to an urgent family emergency, the hotel's non-refundable policy left me with limited options. While I understand the policy, I was disappointed that the hotel did not offer any flexibility or understanding given my circumstances. However, I must say that the staff was very unprofessional and did not listen throughout our interactions (phone and email) they didn't even connect me to the manager in charge in order to explain my case. Despite my negative experience, I hope that the hotel and the upper management will consider revising their refund and customer experience policies to better accommodate such unexpected situations and cases in the future.
