This hotel was horrible. We stayed three nights in December. I was bitten by a flea over night which can be very dangerous. We weren’t out in nature on our visit which is where fleas live so it must have been laying in our sheets. This is disgusting that there’s insects in our bed even though they “cleaned” them every day. Our soap dispenser didn’t work and they didn’t fix it even though we told them in the reception. Same for the tv that didn’t work. They told us that they would fix it the next day but didn’t do anything about it. The breakfast was bad and not worth it. They served dry bread with cheese and ham. The only good thing was the location but overall a very bad hotel. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I have booked in the last minutes a small double room for New Years Eve.The price was very high for that night compared to now. The location is exceptional, very close to Van Gogh museum, where many people spent the last minutes of the year 2023 at Electric Fireworks Museumplein. The Hotel was clean, nothing to complain about. I would still like to specify a few aspects. Im not sure exactly if the walls are thin or the woman next to my room was talking so loud that i could hear everything she was talking. I found it a bit strange that the Tv had no remote and the guy from reception gave me another one that was not working :). And the bigest surprise was that at exactly 7 am on 1st Jan, when a very very very loud fire alarm started to ring in every rooms, it was so loud that i instantly jump off the bed (i think i would jump from the bed even if i was dead:))). Maybe i was unlucky this time

My best friend and I stayed here in July 2023. We had booked at a good price, but were apprehensive of the bed bug reviews... We enjoyed our stay, the rooms are definitely very small, the price was relatively affordable (don't forget there is a city tax on top of your total price) and the location is pretty walkable. It's not in the heart of downtown, so we found it quieter. HOWEVER, I did get bit by something while staying here. It didn't present as bed bugs (as far as I'm aware) but it was a bug bite all the same. Our stay otherwise was decent. No A/C in the rooms, but they did have a fan, and the window could open too.

The reception staff was rude and careless. We showed up a concern about the written reviews about bed bugs but the response was that it's a common issue in Europe and has nothing to do with the hotel! The room smelled very full of insecticide so we didn't see any bed bugs but definitely wasn't a pleasing smell to inhale during the stay. If you are expecting a hotel that provides the most basic hospitality and customer care then it's not the right hotel.
