Very good location close to Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, Saint-Michele, Latin Quarter, bars and restaurants. Good metro easily accessed from CDG. Room was typical for 3 star hotel in Paris but with excellent soundproofing as we were at the front of the hotel. I will be using it again on my next trip. Has everything I need at a good price.

Close to the Latin district, which is very lively. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a 12 minute ride from the train station and should cost $25.00. I mentioned this because we had an issue, so be aware. We had a room for 4 with 2 doubles and a single. Nice size, clean, and very basic deco, if any. I would stay here again

Before I start, know that this hotel is classified as a 3-star hotel. I gave it higher than 3 stars because it exceeded my expectations, but in my opinion is does fit in the 3-star class. The room was clean and though it was small it was a great little place to be as a break when exploring Paris. Water pressure and temperature were great considering we were on the 2nd floor (3rd floor by American convention). The room also had a nice balcony which had a nice breeze and was fun to sit on. It's near Notre-Dame, the Pantheon, and several metro stations so it's great for exploring Paris and the area felt safe even late in the evening. Service was super great and friendly. The receptionists all had great English, so if you need that you'll get by just fine. The only thing I didn't like a lot, and the only reason I didn't give the Claude Bernard 5 stars, was the breakfast. The eggs and bacon were undercooked in my opinion, but I took a peek and the staff did check the temperature, which suggests they were careful to meet the local food preparation laws. The baked goods , beverage, dairy, and fruit options to go with the breakfast were good though, but with the loss of the eggs and bacon I don't know that it was worth the additional cost in my opinion. All-in-all I would recommend this place as a great option for a hotel in the 3-star class! (Note to Americans: European elevators, especially older ones, are often much smaller than American elevators. This elevator fits 1 person well, 2 people if you know each other well, and 3 if you pack in like sardines. This did not decrease my opinion of the hotel, but I mention it as a heads up to my fellow Americans who may be unfamiliar with this particular design which is fairly common at least in parts of Europe)
