Beautiful hotel on the lively Santa Maria Novella square! A few minutes walk from the Train station, which suited us. Walking distance to most of the sights & close to many fantastic restaurants, shops or pharmacy around corner. The hop on bus terminal very close too to get to easily travel to further sights around Florence. Classic dbl room was clean, spacious & very comfortable. Stunning big bathroom! We had a court facing room, so no view of the actual square but super quiet so worth it! Breakfasts & service were excellent. Enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay again. Grazie!

Disappointed in the Hotel Garibaldi Blu… Air Conditioner in the room just would not cool. Both nights the room never got below 78 degrees (26 Celsius). Asked twice at front desk about fixing. Both times they came to the room said it was working fine. The room was less than ideal in other ways too. Small bathroom with no counter space at sink and a pretty small shower. To top it all off, the room overlooked the square and it was quite noisy late into the evening. Definitely would not recommend this hotel. (Although we loved Florence and look forward to another visit! Just not at this hotel!)

Very clean. Amazing location 3-15 min walk to all attractions in the city. Right inside one of the square, lively all day/night, but no noise effect whatsoever. You enter the reception area, and you feel like you disengaged from the craziness of the town. Breakfast included. Excellent customer service.

It's a nice hotel, the rooms and bathrooms and lounge are all nice. The beds are comfy. The location is amazing. The breakfast is fine. So really it's everything you could want for a hotel in florence. BUT there was a sqeaking vacuum vent in the room that sounded like a kettle going off, periodically. It must be where the room service connect their vaccum. We reported it to reception and the woman could not give fewer cares. She didn't even seem to understand what I was talking about but said she would have someone look at it. Nobody looked at it, or if they did that's all they did, look, Then I took a video and showed it to a different person on reception who when faced with an actual video of this loud sqeaky vent acted all apologetic and said he would get someone to look at it. It's still doing it right now as I type this. Other minor gripes: The window does not isolate sound very well so the loud town centre square with fabulous view keeps you up all night with drunks wooping til 5am on a Saturday night. The bathroom door has a window (with no curtains or anything) so you can watch your friends and family in the shower. The room doors are very loud and clunky so anyone leaving early in the morning or coming back late at night wakes you up with CCCLUNK-THUNK.
