Horrible experience. Extremely noisy hotel with thin walls. Loud food elevator noises can be heard throughout the night within the room. Can hear TV noise and chatter from other guests rooms and corridors. There is also a carnival located nearby with loud music throughout the night. Smells permeate throughout the hotel. No hand towels were provided when we checked in. Breakfast options were limited. No buffet, instead a set English menu with no variety to choose from. Only an option of 3 variations of filling in an omelette. They limit hot water, claiming that it is enough for two people to shower. However the hot water lasted around 3 minutes. Hair dryer overheated after 5 minutes of use. Toilet hose was broken. No air-conditioning. Worst of all, after filling out a form providing honest feedback and expressing dissatisfaction, the hotel impersonated me by writing a fake, positive review on bookings com. This is unethical and unacceptable. This hotel is a scam. Not worth the money. Do not be fooled by its 5-star status and reviews as this is all fake and written by the establishment.

I'm not a review person but this boutique hotel had exceeded all our expectations in Sri Lanka! Starting from the moment we entered the hotel by extremely helpful staff, good smell, super clean and quite, very nice European style and cozy atmosphere, everything is new and every single detail is taken into account, especially proper mirror lighting! Great location, big spacious rooms and super comfy beds! We had a great stay in this hotel, thank you very much!!!

An okay hotel but not worth the price you pay. Rooms smelt of damp and was a lack of hot water. Food options were also limited. Service was good and can genuinely say the staff really do try there best. Hotel is in good proximity to golf course, lake and the town centre.

Do not book. The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Do not be fooled by the 5 star status. It is all lies from reviews by the establishment. They have gone as far as using my name etc to post 10/10 reviews on Bookings (not sure how but red flag in hindsight seeing all the 10/10s). This is like a 2 star hotel. The hotel itself was noisy , could hear other guests in their rooms and a noisy carnival nearby which doesn’t stop. There is a food elevator that makes a ton of noise through the night. There is like 3 min of hot water available. There are smells in the rooms and breakfast is horrible. All in all if this review helps one person I will be happy, stay anywhere else.

Beautiful hotel and rooms. Staff were extremely helpful. At first day, our hot water wasn’t working however hotel staff fixed it in few minutes and thereafter wasn’t any issue with hot water. Breakfast was good , mix spread of English and Srilankan cuisines. We didn’t like dinner at hotel , but thats only thing. Rest hotel stay was fantastic and good location. During Horton National trip , hotel staff packed some cakes for kids. We highly recommend this hotel traveling with kids.
