It would have been a mediocre stay at best but the front desk worker had the flu when we checked in and decided to keep working for days. She took no precautions to try and shield the guests from her sickness. I wore a mask in the airport and the plane and didn't take it off until I arrived at the hotel. Three days later I had the flu. Another couple in the hotel got it from her as well. I understand some people need to work and have bills to pay but don't put your customers at risk. I saved up for this trip and spent 3 days in bed with fever and aches. The rooms were clean but the ceiling in the bathroom had mold on it. There were 5 of us staying there and we all complained about the beds and how it hurt our lower back. And finally the noise, we had a street facing room and the windows are single pane so you can hear every conversation on the street, lobby and hallways. Our window had a crack with tape over it. Police, fire and ambulance sirens went off at all hours of the nights and I ended up purchasing a white noise app so that it would drown out all the noise. I would not recommend this place.

Lovely and clean rooms. Beds and bedding were really comfortable! Bathroom was clean. Overall really enjoyed our stay here. Only thing was, we were ground floor so we heard all the foot traffic during the night so it was hard to stay asleep. But everything else made up for that. Good online checkout too! Very friendly staff and easy to communicate through booking.com

The hotel has and excellent location, walking distance to the center and all main tourist attractions. The room is spacious and very clean, but the bed was too soft for me and I would sink in. The staff is kind and helpful, reception open all day. WiFi was free with decent speeda and coverage. The only thing I didn't like is that the window was locked and couldn't be open, but the AC system worked great. There is an option for late check-out for an additional fee.

This was truly the worst hotel experience of my life. I’ve never written a negative review, but I do feel I must leave a warning here for fellow travelers. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone I know. My laptop was stolen out of my locked room which even had a do not disturb sign on it. Further, the hotel staff proceeded to gaslight me about it. Multiple staff members repeatedly questioned me instead of helping me in an awful situation. There was no policy in place, only one hotel staff at the front desk at the time of theft discovery who made no emergency calls and left me scrambling in a foreign country to try to find the correct police station to report this to. I was simply stunned by the way they handled this, which was a break in on their premises. After the shock of this within hours of checking in, they refused to move me to another room and were extremely reluctant to give me a refund. This was the first day of my trip and my first experience of Amsterdam. I switched hotels and filed a police report as soon as I could. The way this hotel handled such a violation of personal property theft in their establishment was simply awful. They showed no regard for the safety and security of their paying guests. I truly suggest you choose another hotel. If you’re on a budget, stay at a hostel. This is simply not a proper hotel.
