I booked this hotel for a destination wedding for a group of 15 people. 7 rooms. I read the reviews and figured, why not. I have been to Mexico a few times, always on a resort. I honestly do not think I would do a resort again. This hotel was perfect! It was extremely clean. The location was perfect for 5th ave. Too far to hear the noise but only 2 block walk. So many really good places to eat. The pool was amazing. For me, the bed was slightly hard but 14 other people in my party disagreed and said it was perfect. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly as well. For $8 a person, you eat at a restaurant that is a 2 min walk for breakfast. It was the best breakfast we ever had in Mexico! (Again, we usually stay on 4 and 5 star all inclusive) And this place is about a 5 min walk to the ferry to Cozumel. Highly recommend!

Hotel LunaSol was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The room was clean, staff were amazing, and my room was off the pool area, but still private. The pool area had a kitchen, which was helpful because I stayed there 3 weeks. It is the only place I would want visitors to stay in Playa del Carmen.

A lovely low-key hotel staffed by people who take pride in their work. The hotel has everything one would expect from a three start hotel in a tourist area: a gated patio with a nice albeit small pool with loungers, a fully equipped kitchen, coffee in the morning and an excellent cleaning service. The whole hotel felt very clean and as a little serene oasis in a bustling town. The hotel is close to all tourist spots of the area, yet far enough from the noise. Really close to a Walmart for your quick grocery shopping and several nice restaurants around the block. We really appreciated front desk staff’s support in our daily errands and queries about things to do on a rainy day! A very attentive staff in general, we felt well taken care of. Really lovely space. As an advice to improve, the wifi was a bit spotty here and there, because the rooms are small, it would be great to have a rack to dry clothes inside, a couple extra of hooks in the bathrooms would be great and the beds could be a bit softer, but otherwise a really good value for money and a great stay!
