Stayed here for 6 nights, can confirm we did not see any bed bugs! Hotel is small and our room was tiny, but it was comfortable and clean. Balcony was nice to have, it was not too loud from the street noise. The breakfast is simple but nice, agree the space is a little dark but it was fine. My husband enjoyed the gym and work space in the lobby. We did not mind refilling water bottles with the filtered water downstairs, I know there are a few reviews about it. The location of the hotel was great near lots of restaurants. It was about a half hour walk minimum to any tourist attraction, over an hour walk to the Eiffel tower. We did not use any public transportation, however the hotel did help arrange a private taxi to and from the airport and the driver was awesome. Overall would recommend!

This was one of our first trips abroad and we felt so welcome and comfortable at this hotel. The room was lovely and the breakfast was simply amazing. A great variety of food and it was freshly cooked. This was the highlight of our stay! The staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return when we’re back in Paris. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

**Update** 10/21/23 - We had a great time staying at Hotel Marais! The room was perfect with the balcony and the included breakfast was great. We even had it brought up to the room the first day and we were very impressed! They also offer free water in the lobby which is always difficult to find. I would recommend! All issues were addressed and no bugs in sight. The general manager was very quick to reach out following my review and remedied the situation. He apologized for the difficulties on their end and provided another booking with the initial rate and an upgrade for my trouble. I am looking forward to my stay with an update to follow! 7/15/23 - They cancelled my October reservation due to my card being "declined." I have had zero issues with my card and have never had a problem using it internationally including when in Paris. When I asked them to please rebook they told me to do it myself for a new rate that is 3x the amount. I do wonder if they cancelled it simply because they didn't want to give me the reasonable rate that I initially booked for! As someone who is often in Paris I will be sure to go elsewhere.

Very cute hotel! Our room was small, but that’s expected in Paris. It was perfect for what we needed. The balcony was nice and the room was clean. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is exactly what is advertised. A few negative reviews here had me nervous at first after booking, but we had a lovely stay and there was nothing to worry about. As far as location, it’s about a 20 minute walk from the Louvre, with most other tourist sites being even farther away. It’s easy to take the metro or bike though, or walk if there’s nice weather and if you’re up to it. There are some great restaurants and bakeries nearby that we enjoyed.
