Hotel Meigetsu

One of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed in in japan! The atmosphere is so cozy and gives you that small Japanese hotel vibe. You leave your shoes in a locker at the door and where your slippers around the hotel. Our room was small and so cozy! Pretty much every hotel (unless you’re a millionaire staying in fancy hotels) in Japan has small rooms I’ve found. Some smaller than these with a tiny cramped bathroom. I didn’t mind the shared toilets or showers. It was always clean and they provide toilet slippers although I doubt many people actually use them. my husband saw a guest step right on them with his outside shoes. How incredibly rude!! Please if you’re going to visit a country, try to respect their rules and culture, even if it makes you feel uncomfortable or youre not used to it (religious reasons aside). We used the bath every single night we were there. This was the best part about staying here!! Big shower room for you and your family where you can wash together and then when you are clean, you soak in the hot tub. The water is suppose to last for the entire night which might sound gross but that is why you need to clean BEFORE you get in. The earlier you reserve your bath, the hotter the water. There are computers for use on the first floor and a little lounge area. A 7/11 just a 2 min walk from the hotel! I love that the hotel is situated in a normal neighborhood and not surrounded by tourism. You can really get a good view of how the japanese here live their lives and the children going to school in their cute yellow helmets! The river is nearby and we like to walk along it in the morning when we are jetlagged. This really is my favorite place!

The staffs there were super helpful and friendly. The bath room, shower room and the own room it self were super clean. Some staffs helped me when I got a problem. The price is so reasonable. I recommend all people. I'm sure going back when I'm back to Japan!
