we stayed here on our trip, great location 6 min walk from the station and about 8 to the square. staff are super friendly and helpful. our room was really clean, the view was amazing and we had a safe which is always great when on holiday so you know your passports and extra cash are safe, would stay here again if we come back

Very good pub and hotel. Good value for quality. Everything is close, I love the pubs cat. I mean it is a good place to stay and chill or just have a quick bite and go exploring. One of best places to take a room when in Amsterdam for sure. Rooms are small but you don’t need anything else in this location :)

STAIRS ARE SO STEEP BE CAREFUL IF YOU‘RE A CLUMSY DRUNK. You get what you pay for—great location but our bathroom had a really funky smell, and the power was out for several hours when we first checked in. Pretty sure this wasn’t the hotel‘s fault, they did the best they could, but some other form of heads up or at least a drink or something would’ve been nice. Beds and bathroom were clean (despite bathroom smell) and temperature was well-regulated.

A nice hostel We had a great time in Amsterdam and one of reasons was the location of the this place. I paid €418 - 2 nights, which I thought was pricey but I assume that I am paying a premium for the location. Having travel quite a bit - I have trouble calling this place a hotel but rather a hostel. The staff was very nice and friendly. They were helpful and curious about us and what we were doing. That level of empathy is not something you can “train” in people and it rubbed off on us. My room was a double bed, mini shower, over - looking the canal. The room was ugly - ugly colours and small. There was dust on the counter tops and room wasn’t clean. With that said - I slept like a rock and occasionally awoken by the noises of people stumbling around high. If you looking for a Hilton or similar then this isn’t it. There is a Hilton Hilltop by the head station. If you are exploring Amsterdam and need a place to sleep with a decent breakfast, good bar and nice staff than this place is perfect. I don’t want to forget the king 👑- Mickey the cat 🐈‍⬛
