Have to give this place 5 stars for service. When we arrived the place was surrounded by scaffold and we were not advised prior to our 3 night stay so not happy. Fortunately the manage of the group wrote and asked if we were ok with everything and of course I expressed by unhappiness about the work going on. Without prompting we were offered a room upgrade or a transfer to another nearby hotel and were not charged the tourist tax. So as I said 5 star service. Rooms were small but comfortable and the breakfast in the seller was excellent.

The hotel is small and the rooms, but for the price was good. The beds are comfortable and the room clean. It is not far from Pont Cardinet station where you can get anywhere in Paris. Batagnolle is a lovely area of Paris too

After an air b&b mattress that felt like it was stuffed with springs and marbles, the bed here felt like heaven. Being at such a high latitude, the summer sun sets quite late, so the black out curtains are necessary and appreciated. And the windows are effective at blocking street noises. These are all practical concerns when jetlagged, and a huge relief when compared with the alternatives. The rooms are smallish, but of course this is Paris where the buildings are older than the declaration of independence. The bathrooms have nearly instant hot water, but are also small. Again, this is Paris. It doesn't make sense to come here and be sulky because the bathroom isn't an acre. There is an elevator, it won't hold more than two people at a time. We are with a friend from the UK who is an expert in Paris elevators and assures is that this elevator is amount the best she's encountered in a Parisian hotel. The entrance wouldn't be accessible for someone who is wheelchair-bound. The complimentary breakfast makes continental breakfast make sense. American continental breakfast is no treat. This breakfast features fresh croissants, a coffee machine that puts out coffee that is drinkable, fresh juices and fruit, plus baguette and yogurt and cereal. In other words, you can have the continental breakfast and not have to worry about finding food again until lunch. The staff can interact in English, a blessing when you're not conversant in French at all. Everyone has been quite gracious. The neighborhood isn't a tourist trap, not all of the local restaurants have waitstaff that speak English, but they do their best and we tried and it all worked. In short, we would absolutely stay here again.

Clean, very nice room. Close to trains and markets, and a wonderful hidden treasure of a restaurant just on the street level below. Late night street noise, but you're in Paris... hopefully, you're out making the most of it, too! Eric (bring your classic cinema knowledge!!) and the rest of the staff are warm and very helpful, and the loveliest breakfast is served each day where you may meet lifelong friends over morning coffee.
