In the middle of the beautiful down town city. Walking distance to all amenities. Amazing service from all hotel staff, delicious and fresh breakfast. We stayed with two kids and the hotel was very accommodating to our little ones. Over all an excellent experience at the hotel.

This is a review regarding the restaurant. The staff was super welcoming and very forthcoming. We ordered dinner a la carte and every dish was nothing less than perfect. Beef tartar hand cut, Bouillabaisse with great consistency, for mains fisch and corn poulard and Kaiserschmarren as a dessert. Each one of the dishes was perfectly seasoned with no need to change anything. The staff were very attentive but not obtrusive. Only point of criticism would be the open wine selection which was quite entry level but the selection of bottled wines were okay. Would totally recommend this place if you are coming to Regensburg and yes please reserve a table ahead.

The food is good and fresh. However, the service is very bad. It took one whole hour to get our starters and then another 45 minutes to get the mains, just to discover they brought the wrong dish. We had to wait another 15 minutes to get the right dish. So 2 hours in we could finally have dinner. Except for an apology and perhaps a coffee the restaurant didn't offer anything, though the staff clearly saw how upset we were about the whole experience. From a restaurant at that level, I would expect at the least the wrong dish would be removed from the bill and a manager will come out to speak with us. We won't return.

Horrible place. My wife booked 3 nights at this hotel but she accidentally forgot to cancel the reservation after she found a hotel closer for her business needs. Unfortunately she noticed she had forgotten to cancel the reservation after the very first booked night. She had visited the hotel very first thing in the morning to explain her situation and requested to cancel the two remaining nights which she will not be able to stay. The hotel staff whomever at the concierge was first of all not nice and told her the remaining reservation cannot be cancelled. The staff never explained their policy for no show penalty and denied to cancel the remaining 2 nights. The first reason they gave was that the reservation was not made directly with the hotel but through an agency and since it's past the cancellation deadline there's nothing they can do about the reservation at this point which certainly does not make sense because I've done the same for other hotels in the same city and had no problem. Anyway despite we had contacted the agency hoping to waiver at least a part of the penalty nothing changed. And what's more annoying is that they charged us 138 more euros than what we owe them for the original 3 nights. This weird transaction is being questioned through our agency yet I must say this certainly cannot be a coincidence. I do respect the hotel's policy for penalizing no show cases because that is their right. Yet they certainly should do better explaining their policy to the guests. I cannot help but feel ripped off at this very moment and just wanted to share this worst experience at Regensburg in which I have visited so many times with delight.

This is a good place for a nice dinner in between casual and formal. The food is mostly very good. We found the sorbets a bit lacking though and the vitello tonnato was sliced way too thick. The apple-celery soup was convincing, as was lamb and fish. The thing that bothers me: serving sizes are over the top for a five course meal. There is no way a normal person can eat those amounts of food, and we strongly recommend sharing. Service, atmo and location are great. All in all a recommendation.
