I stayed at Hotel Sisters Home at the beginning and end of my trip, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. For a very reasonable price, you are centrally located in Thamel. The rooms are clean, and you can get incredibly delicious Momos at a very affordable price. There's a club opposite that is open at night, but it didn't bother me. During my 5-week trip, I was able to leave my suitcase for storage free of charge. The owners and staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful, and open to nice conversations. At the end of my journey, I brought a friend who was also very satisfied. I felt very comfortable here and would come back anytime. If I return to Nepal, I will check in here again. The room was very bare. The bed was rock hard and was held up by blocks of wood. One tap was missing on the sink in the bathroom. The bedding was old and was patched up and some holes in it. The owner was very nice but the whole place needs updating and a good clean.

If you love a homey atmosphere in the middle of Thamel, you have got to give Dee Dee a try. Her rooms are super clean, her cooking is clean, cheap, and out-of-this-world delicious. Dee Dee is very kind, fair, and willing to help out with anything. Her workers are honest and very nice to be around. I felt very safe here as a single woman traveler, and I think you will too. If you go out onto the street, you are literally five minutes from any kind of cuisine you want. There are also night clubs within a few minutes' walk. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Sisters Home. I stayed in the single room with four beds and a shared bathroom. It was perfect for me. My windows opened up onto Dee Dee's balcony that is packed with flowers.

Owner is so friendly and it's in just a perfect place where you should live in thamel when you visit. Mostly tourist stays here... it's just infront of purple haze club... and I like it here.. it's not so expensive and food is good here as well. Just most of people don't know this place but just if you wanna stay here go to purple haze and opposite of it there is small board written hotel sister home. Enjoy your time in thamel and live safe and enjoy more and stay happy.
