BE AWARE THAT THE ELEVATOR DOES NOT WORK. It was being repaired when we left but looks like it was broken for quite awhile. We stayed on the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans). The receptionist helped us carry our bags upstairs. Also note that this city was built on a mountain so there will be lots of hills to climb to get around. Parking is not connected to the hotel and you must climb a steep hill to walk back from the parking lot to the Hotel. Parking is free though. :) After expecting these few factors, this hotel is lovely. It is newly renovated and approximately a 5 minute walk to see St Padre Pio. The room has its own air conditioning unit (that is controlled by you), windows have blackout shades and comes with toiletries. The food both in the restaurant and the included breakfast was excellent. Please note that the owners of the hotel do not speak much English so you must use a Google translator to communicate. Please be patient with them. They are kind and willing to help.

To AVOID at all costs, reviews online could not be more misleading. I booked to stay on the main road and ended up on a dethatched venue reachable through a steep road, not ideal if you have a heart condition. Receptionist was missing on arrival and took us forever to check in, the room was small, with dirt behind side debs, the mattress was uncomfortable, the TV wasn't working well, but on and all it was ok, if it wasn't for the following. The hotel was hosting a group of foreigners that literally took over the hotel over night, with kids running wildly from door to door, knocking freely and heavily on doors, mine included. The sound scared us and woke me up. The women of this group parked themselves in the open corridor to talk, laugh and socialize in their own language not caring about their kids. We were scared, concerned and I was sharing the room with someone that had to go through surgery the day after. I woke up, called reception from my mobile "cause the phone in the room was not working" just to be told that I had to call reception downstairs. Long story short, I had to dress to go down at reception, during the night. There I found a staff member who was on his mobile doing nothing until I raised my concern, unfortunately by that time it was indeed too late and our night was spoilt. I'll never go back.
