Everything here is about expectation. To those people claiming this is not a 4* hotel, you are correct in every way. That said it is not priced as a four start hotel, and you get what you pay for. This is a budget hotel, that provides reasonable value for the price. The rooms are adequate without being anything special, the breakfast was fine, the pool area is nice. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful, but good value, this hotel is a good example of that

The rooms yes do need a modernisation a little bit it’s still really nice. The breakfast options are really good and the food is nice. The pool area is really good. The location for the marina is perfect, only a 2 minute walk and you’re on the marina. At night, you can’t hear any noise coming from the marina was great too.

Just home from a 4 night stay in the Vila gale marina hotel. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Yes, the reception and breakfast area are a bit dated, but our room was perfect and pool area more than makes up for it. I emailed in advance and asked would it be possible to get a room with a view and marco in reception was incredibly helpful and moved us to the 8th floor which had a beautiful view of the marina and pool. Our room and balcony area was perfect, the beds were comfy and had good aircon. The pool entertainers brought great life to the pool every morning, im only annoyed that I never joined in on the aqua aerobics! The breakfast has a huge selection, and while it’s not overly fancy, it’s basic and has anything you need for the day ahead. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel so can’t comment on that. The location is one of the best things about the hotel, it’s a few mins stroll to the marina and pubs and bars, and also to the beach. The reception staff were really helpful and the pool bar has really reasonable drinks and lovely sandwiches if you don’t feel like giving up your sun lounger to leave! Lastly, the rooms in the hotel are really good value. Would totally come back here again in a heartbeat. Some of staff at breakfast can be a little rude, but that’s not a dealbreaker by any means! The only downfall of this hotel is the groups of loud golfers who descend on the pool every day around 5pm once they’re back from golfing all day. While it’s not the end of the world and everyone is entitled to enjoy their holiday, some of them can be really loud and take over. However, we just went to the pool straight after breakfast and left when they arrived! I think there should also be some sort of system in place to stop people leaving towels on sun loungers and going away for the day, but this is an age old problem really! Oh and maybe slightly better lighting in the bedroom for those of us trying to put on make up! None of these negatively affected our stay in any way; it was all really perfect.

No complaints about this hotel. As other other reviews have stated, it is dated and in need of modernisation, but overall everything was satisfactory. Staff were all friendly and breakfast was excellent. Room and bathroom were very clean, and pool area seems well maintained. Do note that this hotel is very much geared up towards golfers so do expect large groups of guys. If you are planning a golf trip then I would recommend this place. They also have a storage area for clubs/bags, so if you have an evening departure you can leave your luggage in the hotel for the afternoon.
