Stayed here for 4 nights. It was comfortable and quite affordable in a big city like Tokyo. The staffs were great and informative as well. The cleanliness is a top-notch, even the bathrooms are shared, the staff do regular cleaning after it's used. Definitely will stay here again.

Great option for budget travelers. It's mainly a hostel with shared dorms but they also have private rooms. The staff was chill and really helpful. They provide a locker room facility if you arrive before the check-in time. The check-in and Check-out process was swift. I opted for a 3 people private room with attached toilet and bathroom. It was a traditional Japanese room with futons placed over tatami mats. The toilets where clean. The shower had hot and cold option. It was a steal when it comes to the cost. I would totally recommend it.

Japanese 1-star Inn in walking distance to Ikebukuro Station and very close to Rikkyo University in a quiet mostly residential neighborhood. Has a common room with kitchen equipment, water dispenser and plates/cutlery if you need to cook, and a water boiler/kettle to make coffee/tea. Rooms are tatami (floor mats) style, all clean and comfy. The futons are small but for the budget traveler it’s better than a capsule hotel or internet café. I had a good stay. Receptionists speak English and were friendly/efficient/helpful. Restrooms and showers on your room floor; all fine.

At first we were skeptical by how small our hotel room was. However, this place proved to be one of the best places we stayed. The futons are serviceable, there's a TV that works, an aircon, etc. The best parts were the shower that gets lovely and hot, and the fact that there's an entrance to Ikebukuro station right around the corner. It was super convenient and works great if you're going to be exploring most of the day. I would recommend bringing earplugs since the walls are thin, and cups since there is a kettle and fridge but nothing to eat or drink from.
