I think 3.8 (the average on google) is a fair rating for this hotel. While I loved the lobby, the staff were friendly, the elevator was convenient, and the space in the room was reasonable, there were some issues. The bed was rock solid and pillows quite flat. It was fairly noisy and I kept feeling like I was hearing and feeling a train running underground, but was on the fifth floor, so who knows. Our toilet would not stop running and we had to finagle a way to make it stop and the bathroom door would not close all the way. That being said, the room was clean, did the job for us, and provided us enough space. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and it was quite convenient to the metro, many restaurants, and attractions.

My husband and I had a good experience at Hotel Gaillon. The room was expected for a more budget friendly hotel, small but clean and in good shape. The lobby is very beautiful and we loved having an elevator. Service was great and same as the location, walking distance to the Louvre.

Very convenient location, walking distance to major attractions. Good price, room a bit small but should be average in the center of Paris. Decoration and facilities pretty new, clean. Originally reviewed (4*) at the first night of stay. Had a long good chat with Jean at the front desk on the second evening. Jean is very nice and friendly, greeting every guest in and out, opening the lift door for all of them. He has good knowledge of French food, culture and history. We had a very good time talking about our trip, where to eat, etc. Increased my rating to 5 stars. Definitely will book here if we visit Paris again. Highly recommended.

Location is the only 💯% good thing about this hotel. Hotel staff is friendly. Pictures of rooms and reception hall are photoshopped and fudged. Real room condition is disappointing. They are small, badly furnished, cabinets/closets are made of plywood painted in white, power outlets are in absolutely inconvenient locations, huge spiders in the room, toiletries supply is extremely poor, breakfast is expensive and nothing to choose from.
