DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL BEFORE READING THIS REVIEW : July 15, 2022 First of all, when we arrived, the elevator was not working to reach the 3rd floor. In fact, we were the ones who discovered the problem, as our young son was stuck inside for a few minutes. He had the presence of mind to order the elevator to return to the ground floor, so he was able to get out. Following this incident, we had to take all our luggage up to the 3rd floor ourselves. Since we'd been on the road for over a week, we had four large suitcases and three smaller ones. Realizing that this situation didn't make sense for one of the travelers in our group (a 73-year-old lady with hip problems), we asked to leave the hotel with a refund. The receptionist told us that this was not possible, as we had already entered the rooms, even though it had only been a few minutes. To reassure us, he confirmed that the elevator repairman was on his way... which wasn't quite right; we found out later. So we went out for the evening, and by the time we returned late, we were convinced that the elevator was working, since the employee we'd seen earlier had confirmed that the repairman was on his way. What's more, there were no warning signs on the elevator. So two people in the group, including my 73-year-old mother-in-law, got on, but got stuck in the elevator again. We considered the failure to place a warning sign to be gross negligence, given that the employee had assured us that everything would be repaired. We remained stuck for a second time, causing the eldest of our group a great deal of anxiety. July 16, 2022 At 7AM, we received a call from reception for an alarm clock. We hadn't asked to be woken up. This second employee realized his mistake, but the damage was done. As we were due to return to Canada on July 17, we started going to bed later to wake up late (10AM). This mistake ruined our late wake-up call. When we left the next morning, the elevator was still not working. The repairman was on site. We had to carry all our luggage back down by hand without help. Before departure, I informed the receptionist of our dissatisfaction and that we would be lodging a complaint. While waiting for our transport, we overheard the conversation between the receptionist and the elevator repairman. The latter confirmed that the elevator had passed the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced. In this case, the door to the 3rd floor was bent, making it impossible to open. Being a 4* hotel, the service we received was not at all worthy of this rank. AVOID THIS HOTEL

This place saved us. We made the reservation two hours prior to showing up because we had some mishaps with another hotel. The booking went through great and we had no issues. The staff was super friendly and kind. The room was nice, a little small but was great for the two of us. The bathroom did reek of wet paint, but it wasn't too intolerable. The room had AC as well. The breakfast was good, but a little expensive.
