Bedbug infested Hotel - please don’t go there. Overall: Room seems to be old, including old mattress with bedbug-stains on it (see pictures). Unfortunately I just discovered that when I controlled the mattress after I stayed some days and found bedbugs crawling in my bed. They offered me another room where I checked and immediately found bedbugs again, so they sent me to another Hotel for my last night. I asked them if I can wash my clothes there at 60degree to kill the bugs to not bring them home, it was not possible. :/ The worst thing is they probably know they have bedbugs, because the manager commented that ,all of Paris has them right now anyway’. No Wi-Fi signal in the rooms, except the breakfast room and there it doesn’t work at all. The hairdryer only works if you hold it in a special position with one hand, but it gets hot so after a time you have to stop and wait. The walls are really thin so you hear people walking or talking as if they where in the room. I guess this is the only thing that they cannot really change because it is caused by the structure of the building. But the first room I was in was clean when I arrived (also the towels), and cleaned every day. Except the bedbugs… And the location is really really good. In summary, I had to throw away some clothes and my newly bought suitcase to not bring the bugs to my home, please think about this before going there. Also they would not give me a refund, I payed 150€/night..

If it was possible to give no star, that's the rating I would give. The hotel needs a general renovation immediately. The room was dark, stuffy, with stained floor covering, repairs in the bathroom involving the application of pounds of silicone, fungus on the cabinet by the bathtub, fecal stains on the wall next to the toilet. The hotel also has a huge bedbug problem, as you can see in the pictures - bedbug excrement stains on the bed frame, remnants of killed bedbugs on the walls and the icing on the cake - a wake-up provided by a bedbug walking in my hair.... The one star I have to add, let it be for the responsiveness of the staff to the reported problem. When I returned during the day to pick up my suitcase (I had changed hotels), the bed and mattress were leaning against the walls and were sprayed with some kind of chemical bug repellent, but on the other hand, would I have to sleep later in such a smelly room?!

True to their tag line .. Down to Earth Hotel ... you will have the privilege of getting the Earthen feeling as if sleeping on road side with bed bugs 🐛 crawling all over you... Better do a fast than having their breakfast. Not at all a hotel to stay with your family.

Based on these reviews, I don't think Europe has Motel 6. The place it totally fine! Not the most up to date and not sparkling clean, but it wasn't anything close to the horror show described in some of these reviews. We stayed on the first floor- the room was small but comfortable, the bathroom was a great size which was a plus. Check in was a breeze, and the woman at the front desk, Roxanna, was so fun! She helped us with an issue we were having with one of our train tickets, and was just a blast to talk to. The rooms are definitely on the tiny side, but for solo travel on a budget I would totally consider staying again.
