This place is a gem. The rooms are tiny but in a very quaint Parisian way. I loved the exposed original beams in the ceilings. The layout in the rooms is also extremely efficient, so really it feels cozy. The location could not be better for walking around. I had access to public transit, excellent access to walk paths along the river, wonderful shopping and restaurants. It was close enough to the classic tourist sites that I could walk there in 15-20 minutes (of strolling down lovely little side streets) but I felt like I was staying in a local neighbourhood, not with a bunch of tourists. The breakfasts were fantastic and great for getting out the door early in the morning. It can be hard to find something as simple as a croissant and coffee and fruit open early enough if you have work meetings or are an early riser. And the staff were both lovely nice people and extremely competent and helpful when I had a logistical issue.

This hotel was awesome - the staff were professional, courteous and helpful. The room was beautiful. It is well located within walking distance of plenty nice eateries and bars and has a metro station nearby. I would totally recommend this hotel and would love to return for another stay.

Everything about my stay was superb. As some other reviews state, the rooms may be smaller, but they have everthing you need. A comfy bed, windows with a nice view of a quiet street, and the location can't be beat. Everyone who worked at Hotel Louis II was kind and accomodating. As a solo traveler I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Amazing customer service, staff, and room. I will look forward to visting again.
