Stopped off for a brilliant lunch. Well worth and a very tasty meal. Pub was very busy but the service was excellent considering. Plenty of parking and certainly a great place to visit in the summer too. Good garden and lake with a train running around it make for a great attraction for the children in the summer.

Stayed here from Tuesday through to Friday after wanting something different to the normal chain style hotels. Read good reviews so booked and it didn't dissapont. Lovely place, great staff and delicious food. Will definitely look to use here again in the future when needing to stay away for work. And thanks for the sandwich by the way 😁

Since new years, there’s very little that is going right. We preordered roast dinners over the phone to be told that they don’t have any and it was blamed on a random staff member. As my first time here, there isn’t much to offer as there were no Sunday roasts, the food took just about an hour and without the sides, which we had to request and then gave us very little after request. Drinks were okay. When ordered dessert, it came incredibly late and and cold. became impatient after about 30 more mins of waiting. I shall not be coming back.

We've eaten here, once every 4-5 weeks for years. Went New Years Day & we won't be rushing back. Food arrived with wrong sides, steak was as tough as old boots, & entire meal was cold, so cold the peppercorn sauce had congealed. Couldn't find anyone to deal with the problem, nobody checked on us whilst eating. I did mention the above when paying, but the young barmaid just looked at me & said oh! Maybe usual chef on a night off? Maybe short on waiting staff? Maybe a new (useless) barmaid? Fair play, but an apology for a awful meal, instead of just swiping our card & walking away would have been appropriate.
