Great hotel at a decent price. Hubs and I stayed here for a long weekend with our newborn (2 1/2 month old). Everyone was so nice, very inviting and helpful. They had a pack in play for our little guy to sleep in. Breakfast was included for us which was your typical American style breakfast offering toast, bagels, waffles, cereal, instant oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, Nutella, PB, jelly, eggs, sausage and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. High top seating and tables with chairs available. The ladies making breakfast were so friendly and asked how our stay was. In the afternoon and evening there is a microwave for use in the reception area. Entry to the hotel has automatic doors and a clean, cute reception. The room was a king bed with a couch, bathroom, TV, lots of lamps (needed for midnight feeds with the baby) and mini fridge. Plenty of space for the three of us. There is a parking lot to park a car if you have one. The neighborhood has plenty within walking distance. Several metro stops, grocery stores and bars/restaurants. To get to Manhattan we were only 4 stops away or approximately 15min in the metro. On the weekends there is work done on some lines so it may take longer.

This was my first time staying at a Hyatt Place and I guess I didn’t realize this was akin to a DoubleTree or FourPoints. I took a red eye and arrived at the hotel early and was told it costs $75 for early check-in — I paid it since I didn’t have any better options but I’ve never had that happen to me at a hotel before. The room itself was a king bd on the 3rd floor and it was small/tight with the window right next to the highway. Pros were that breakfast is included with the room costs, the location is very convenient, and the bed and towels were clean, which wasn’t the case with the Marriott Courtyard down the street that I stayed at a couple of years ago. Nevertheless, had I known about the quality of the hotel and the extra charge, I would’ve chosen Aloft around the corner instead since they were on par cost wise.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt. It is in a nice, quiet location, surrounded by new buildings. Hotel and rooms were really clean. Kind and friendly staff. Breakfast is included and there is a nice spot to sit and eat.
