Location was fantastic but staff and services at the hotel leave a lot to be desired. I didn’t receive any information about breakfast times, no welcome drink (until I asked for it and then it was only a juice or coffee for Gold status!) the bed was super comfortable and room small but well thought out. Would like to see the filtered water machines come to Ibis as they have to other brands. Breakfast was horrendous. I ordered an omelette and it wasn’t even half cooked in the middle, inedible! There were also far too many people crowding and coughing around the breakfast buffet. I even saw a staff member, Warren, using his fingers instead of tongs to select bread to toast. There was no coffee available, the machine didn’t work and was covered with a cloth. I was extremely disappointed and would never pay for breakfast at Ibis again. Parking was easy and plentiful and short walk to the centre of everything as the Ibis is located on the fringe of Little India. However, no assistance with luggage and nowhere at the front to park car and take bags out, I had to lug them all the way from the car park. Loved the vertical safe, rather than horizontal as it was much more ergonomic, bathroom was pleasant and as previously mentioned, bed was very comfortable!

The overall experience was satisfactory, but there is room for improvement in the service, particularly in staff communication. The staff members did not smile or greet guests, creating a less welcoming atmosphere. On a positive note, we appreciated the simplicity and charm of the room. However, the breakfast offered limited variety, and the presentation of the food could be enhanced. Additionally, closing the lights before 10:30 am while guests were still eating was not an ideal way to signal the end of breakfast, and a more considerate approach would be appreciated.

Smooth check in with friendly and helpful receptionist. The rooms are decent, cozy and clean. Amenities upon request and eco friendly. Great breakfast with decent varieties. Love the bar as well. Memorable moment on the AFC match. Great restaurant and bar team - friendly and prompt in service. Great swimming pool and gym. Overall, the building is clean and well maintained.

Overall a good stay. The staff led us check-in early due to being a gold Accor member. Check-out wait time was long due to both staff are helping 1 group of customers at the time I arrived at reception. Location is good, a 5 minute walk to Melaka river and Dutch Square and most tourist attractions. We had drinks at the hotel restaurant but there were bugs in the iced tea, the staff was polite and had made us new drinks, however the wait time was long. Hotel room could be cleaned better, felt dusty when I entered. Bed was comfortable. We've had to call reception to get the body wash refilled in the shower, and to ask for slippers. There is no mini bar in the room, just an empty fridge. You'd have to order room service if you want to dine/drink in the room. I enjoyed the swimming pool as it was big with good water temp. Overall I'd rate this a 8/10 stay.
