We attended a function at Intercontinental Shanghai Expo the night before we checked in to this hotel. Since the dinner ended late, and we couldn't get a taxi back to our hotel, we requested the help of the guy (without a name tag) on duty at the concierge. As foreigners, we were surprised that the guy at the concierge in a reputable hotel, treated us rudely. Our request to get a taxi for the 4 of us was turned down with the reason that it is illegal to carry 4 passengers in a taxi. When we explained that we came to the hotel in one car, he got agitated. We decided to get a 6-seater, with his help from his app and paid him the amount indicated, in cash. When we asked if we could get a receipt for this ride, he raised his voice and said there is no receipt and he may need to pay more from his own pocket, if the driver charges a higher rate. The next day, we checked-in to this hotel for a 3D/2N stay. The experience was so different, as their registered guests. There was no sign of the (rude) guy who attended to us the night before throughout our stay. We did not bring up the unpleasant experience we had the night before, but met wonderful people like Mr Simon Yu & Mr Tyrone Sun at the concierge and especially Mr Tyrone Sun ... who went extra miles to assist us. Overall, we did enjoy our stay in this hotel. We had a spacious room. It is also equipped with 3 types of chargers. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety.

F&B manager had lied to us 3 times. The waiter also unskilled and make mistake. We are 7 peoples. All dinner come for 6 peoples. But 1 peoples not come. We ask manager 3 times each times he said cooking. Finally we find out they not even start cooking this dish and keep doing another order. Worst experience in Shanghai. Also the dish that come is not so good. Won't recommend anyone to spend their time there. Waste your time and experience.
