Needs lots of renovation! The staff was nice on the phone (even though they started reading other customers’ names to me on the phone while looking for my reservation!) and the location is probably the most notable advantage of this place. The bathroom was moldy, wires were showing from lamps, the A/C didn’t work. The ceiling in the bed & bath area was low - I’m 1.74m and reached it. No toiletries provided except for soap. There was WiFi available in the apartment but the network was open to everyone so I’d be careful about connecting a work device.

One of the worst experiences I ever (almost) had. I booked this hotel from booking.com as it has a really good rating (8.7) and when we arrived I came across a rusty tap in the bathroom and dirty/damaged walls. Just check the pictures to get an idea. The manager was very friendly on the phone, however he told me it would take 4 hours for him to come by and find a solution. We disputed the payment with booking and found another place to stay. I would recommend staying away from the apartments of JI Rothschild.

Pro : - very central location with everything within walking distance - relatively cheap price for Tel Aviv Contra: - ceiling in the apartment is 1.80m which made standing up for me impossible. Due to the extremely tiny bathroom and low ceiling I had to cower while showing - the building facade and escalators just don't look very appealing and should probably be renovated. - the apartment door leaves a gap so you will hear other guests coming home - windows didnt close properly and couldn't be locked, which made it rather cold and noisy at night / felt a bit unsafe
