Lovely host, she helps you with anything, and her food is delicious. Even made some late mid-night snacks for us. Rooms were nice and good ac. Had a lovely stay. Would definitely come back or stay in one of her other hostels. 10/10

The proximity to the train station really affected my stay. I often woke up 2 times during the night because of the passing (and honking) trains. Food is good, the House is beautiful, Galle Fort is around 2 km away. I would have been overcharged by about 2000 Rupees if I hadn't checked the bill another time. Overall a very Mixed stay.

The location is a bit outside of the main city in a nice residential area. The host was super friendly, she cooked amazing food and the house was really beautiful. The room could have been cleaner and it would have been useful with hooks to hang clothes/towels in the room. There was no soap in the bathroom and the wifi did not really work in the bedroom. However, for this cheap price, it was worth the stay!

We stayed 2 nights in the 3 bed room with AC. The room was clean and good. BUT You need to understand this before you stay here. If mama offers you coffee or tea or hot water, she will charge you for it at checkout. The breakfast is toast and a banana, and it is NOT included and costs 1000 rupees. She will ask you if you want breakfast. She will charge you at checkout. If you can avoid these charges, you will enjoy staying here.

We absolutely loved it here! Felt like we found a family, and the hostel owner was like a mum to us. The rooms were great and spacious with aircon, linen and towels, and the whole vibe of the hostel was so homely and friendly. We did an informal cooking class on the first night which was absolutely amazing, delicious and great for having conversations around food and a table, and throughout our stay they couldn’t do enough for us. The free breakfast was generous and the other food on offer to be freshly cooked is still our favourite meal we had our whole time in Sri Lanka! All in all so friendly and helpful, and we were sad to leave.
