Very surprised about this hidden gem. The location is discrete, private, quiet, safe, and still in the middle of the city. The ladies that work at the front are all very friendly. In the morning there are baskets hanging outside your room with breakfast in them. It’s very cute. The room we had was huge, modern, and had a large balcony. We were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We spent 2 nights here and it was wonderful: very big 2-bedroom apartment (we stayed here with friends), lovely bed, bathroom very spacious and clean, nice breakfast delivered to the room every morning. The hosts were very welcoming and super friendly. We will certainly stay here again when coming back to Budapest and recommend it to everybody!

The staff was very friendly, there is reception 24/7. Near the hotel there are stores and restaurants which are very convenient. There is an Elevator which we were glad. A beautiful view we had, very quiet inside and a safe area and a good environment. Close to bus stops and metro and close to Hop on Hop off bus

We spent several days at this hotel in June of 2023, and found it acceptable. The absence of a working elevator in the main building, required a lengthy detour with our bags upon arrival. A big stain on the entry carpet and soiled sofa put us off on relaxing inside, but the outstanding balcony with city view was terrific. The lead staff, while helpful with recommendations and area knowledge, was decisively unhelpful when we confirmed an extension via the booking agent under the same room class (balcony & city view). The staff denied availability of the room class we selected (which the booking agent confirmed), and pushed a more expensive larger room, absent the view and balcony (but with a crib!). We elected to pass on the unacceptable choice and depart.

Nov 2022 - From when we first booked our stay via hotels dot com until we arrived, there was very good communication with the staff. Any questions I had prior to leaving NI were answered, they were good with recommendations for during our stay, and offered their airport shuttle service too. On arrival (11pm due to a delayed flight!) we had trouble finding the front door 😅 Had read other reviews stating the same thing. The screenshot on Google maps shows the gate which is the entrance. There is a sign on the right of the gate but we still managed to walk past it several times!! 🙈 In the end I had to ring reception and get them to come out to us!!! The location is fantastic. Very easy to access all areas of Budapest. Tram stops just across the road and metro only a short walk away. You know when you research to find a hotel for your stay, they always show the photos of this amazing room? Well, when I booked this hotel I decided to upgrade our room..... we got that room!!!!! (although from the photos all the rooms are amazing!!!) Wow! Absolutely love our 'deluxe apartment' ❤️ Everything within the apartment that you could need for a few nights stay. We're on holiday so no plans of cooking, but the option is there if we fancy making something light. Breakfast is supplied in a basket which is hung outside your door each morning approx 8am. Ample food is supplied, but we decided to get a couple of extra items ourselves from the supermarket to mix things up a bit. Anything we don't eat we can leave in the basket for them to take away. The only negative about this residence is the noise outside. It is hard to sleep at times. I can't mark the hotel down as it's not their fault, although better sound proofing to the road outside would make a huge difference. Would I recommend Karoly Residences? Absolutely!!!!
