Only negative thing is that the room smelled like wet. If you can survive that, then it is good value for money. Location is great, about 1-2 min from the beach. Metro station is about 10 min. Restaurants around everywhere and the best is that there is a 7/11 2 meters away. You can bring alcohol in.

One of my best stay in a hostel. The location is great, close to Haeundae beach, like 5 min walking distance, the price is good, the staff is very friendly, rooms are clean, personal bathroom in the room for 8 women. You can check in by yourself if you paid in advance and received the email. Otherwise check in is from 4 to 9pm.

So dirty I think it’s a health hazard. Weird stains on the walls and the sheets and everything smells like mould. I left a day early because it was that bad! The staff is very nice but that’s the only positive about this place.

Definitely recommend Kimchee Guesthouse if you’re on a budget and looking for a perfect location to explore Haeundae Beach and surrounding areas. There’s an awesome communal area in the reception for meeting other travellers. I stayed in a private room and while it was more spacious than what I’ve seen in other hostels, which was great, the mattress was very uncomfortable and there was a lot of noise in the mornings… it is a hostel though, not a five star hotel.
