Koumi Homes Mykonos

The rentals were easy access and close to Ftelia Beach and the clubs located on Ftelia Beach. Great service, clean rentals and modern architecture. The rentals were as shown in the pictures on the reservation site. Great hospitality! Recommend!!

We booked the property for 4 nights and left after 2 nights only losing money because the property refused to refund for the 2 nights we didn’t stay. Now, the reasons we left: #1. within 2 days of stay we had atleast 6 Geckos coming on our bed even after all doors and windows were closed all the time. SIX. after making each one go out of our house. They ran over our face while sleeping! We had a 4 year old with us sleeping with a Gecko in his bed! If you don’t like lizards rolling all over you, please avoid. Also, there are spiders all over the house. All over. #2. It says FEW steps away from Ftelia beach, but it is atleast 1.6 kms away with NO tar or level roads to walk, just a dusty rock filled path!! such a wrong information they provide in their listing to increase the bookings. #3. The property is super duper difficult to access. Broken, no tar, path. Climb of 50 degrees. Manual car was unable to climb even after 2 separate drivers trying. Even after having a car we had to book expensive cabs (min. 35 Euros) each time we have to go out and climb the slope for the pickup. #4. Even the location on Google and Apple maps was completely WRONG. Noone can reach Koumi Homes through any maps service. The management has mapped this property on roads which are easily accessible to avoid any accessibility questions during booking. Once you are there, they provide you correct location which is reachable only through non-tar broken path. #5. IT IS NOT IN MYKONOS CITY (was originally the location provided in the listing) but in Ftelia area, with literally no place to eat or shop around when we booked. The 2 restaurants at the Ftelia beach 1.6 kms away were also closed. We barely had 2 restaurants listed on a food delivery app who also struggled to deliver food due to bad access. It is a bad location with nearest supermarket 2 kms away which, coupled with bad access, makes things very difficult. #6. The apartments on 0+ floors are not safe for young kids due to very low terrace boundaries (which are actually in the form of benches). Looking at this we specifically asked for ground level apartment due to a kid and then realised that the management conveniently ignores any questions which they don’t want to answer. Results was that we had to keep ourselves and the kid inside all the time. #7. The QUESTION/ANSWERS stated that there is cleaning service everyday and when we went there, the host told us it is every 3 days. All in all we had a terrible stay and ended up booking another hotel last minute in the Mykonos city last minute for last 2 nights. We also missed our Catamaran cruise due to no normal cabs available at the location and spent a long time finding the place when we were able to book one after booking a super expensive pickup service. This place could be good for young adventurous couples with romantic getaway around rustic nature, but for a small family with a 4 year old kid, was one of the worst stay experience we ever had. Problem is that the property does little to explain what the guest experience would be and presents itself as a premium place to stay “next” to a beach by providing the description on their website as “An understated Cycladic beach stays in one of the best locations on Mykonos.” NO. IT IS NOT.
