Amazing experience! Really stunning place with lots of beautiful nature and decor to walk around. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Had one of the best massages at the spa. The room was fantastic. Location was really good too, only a short ride to the centre of Ubud. Would 100% stay again and I’m keen to check out their other resorts. Thank you for an exceptional time!!

We stayed at the river front Villa while the View is amazing but 1. Room is outdated though i could see that they just varnished it recently maybe when they opened after Covid. The room was cleaned although we need to asked them to clean again for the outdoor patio because simple down the mattress was ants’ nest. The room also dark especially the bathroom side its huge but dark, during the day was okay for the bedroom side. 2. Breakfast, they offered a price where the breakfast included, the only decent ones is the egg stations others they only serve Carbo and the only other protein the pro bacon and chicken sausage. For the Indonesian breakfast its way too low quality, I think the management trying to safe some money. 3. Service, the only thing great about this hotel is the service, the staffs are accommodating and try to help In anyway they can. So in conclusion, if you are looking for relaxing, honeymoon place don’t stay at this hotel because the vibe of this hotel give you stressed! We wanted to relax in Ubud just stay at the hotel looking at the beautiful view unfortunately we can’t do that as its too stressful to stay in the hotel. Unfortunately, I had a non refundable booking, otherwise we already moved out as much as they offered another room but the vibe was still the same. Regarding the price, i think they over charged, its not worth with the money we paid it was too much!!! We suggest that the management do more renovation for the rooms before they open the door to guests and fix the facility. I regret I didn’t read the google review before I booked what others said about this hotel is true!

We had a decent stay at Kupu Kupu in Ubud. It's a beautiful location, very serene and isolated. Unfortunately the staff wasn't very good, I would say penny wise and pound foolish -- a few instances e.g., we had booked a villa with free breakfast but while checking in they got hung up on charging extra money for my 5 yr old daughter. Then they offered free drinks during happy hour but when we went the staff said that they can only give a 25% discount, after an argument they came back that they can give only one free drink, etc. We hadn't even asked for free drinks in the first place, but they figured out a way to make it complicated and make it a subpar experience for us. Then one of the two villas had lizards in it (understandable, can happen in a location which is in the middle of a forest), but when we called room service the response was to say that plz live with it instead of trying to be helpful. Eventually they came and helped, but could have been more empathetic. When we checked out, again they sent a person for a room inspection before we left the room. All hotels check this, but no one makes it so painful, and weird like them. I don't blame the staff, they do what is asked of them -- but management should look at improving some of the hospitality related practices.

First off service was amazing, the staff go above and beyond to make sure you are always 100% happy. The complimentary breakfast was always great and they have a chef on hand to make your eggs however you want them, he’s a great guy too. The river view room itself is beautiful and very unique with its own pool overlooking the river (great for pics) it was quite a hike down to get to the room which they do offer a buggy service to get to but sometimes that takes a while. There were a lot of ants on the deck and certain spots I couldn’t step on without getting my foot swarmed lol the resort itself is quite a ways away from downtown, but there activities near by like white water rafting. also there is AMAZING restaurant, Taman Dedari literally right beside the resort which I highly recommend

Besides the location this place is not good at all. My water was freezing so I do not understand why they provide a bath when the water is so cold it’s uncomfortable. They told me “this is the normal temperature.” This place is expensive so guests should at least be able to take a comfortable shower/bath. If you want take a nice warm shower/bath this isn’t the place for you.
