Excellent customer service! Thank you Manager Anush for solving our difficulty on Jan.5,2024. Sheets were crispy clean! Room and bathroom were clean. Premises is old but livable. Great View facing the water and mountain from the motel room! Spacious apartment size room

Do not book this place if you have any other options and be wary of being ripped off. At peak times they charge luxury accommodation prices for this grubby backpacker hole. We unfortunately paid NZD 500+ for one night. This very basic budget-level accommodation, barely updated since the 80s and not particularly clean. Single glazing, flimsy locks, no lift, gross mosquito puddle on common balcony, minging stained carpet, small room with furniture packed in and no room to move. There is a backpackers on the same site and the motel seems to be backpacker level accommodation too. I was shocked by the blatant rip off. Queenstown gets busy and accommodation is limited but there should be some kind of control as to the standard of accommodation provided when they charge so much. Sullen, indifferent staff could not care less. Truly disgraceful, avoid at all costs.

Not worth any money. They don't check the rooms between being used, empty gin bottle in the room, and no power cord for the TV phone call to get one to no avail. Give this place a miss.

DO NOT choose this backpacker hostel if you want to stay just normal hostel. There is a backpacker behind the motel. The hostel is the worst ever hostel I’ve stayed before. I chose this hostel because it was cheap, but if I had known it was so bad, I would not have stayed there. I should have stayed in another hostel, even if it was a bit more expensive. I used the laundry at night and by the time I finished, it was locked and I couldn't get in. I called the emergency number, but the staff member in charge was a different person from the receptionist during the day, who sounded very sluggish and said he was on his way. The receptionist said no one would lock the door and didn’t give me a key. I wonder what the security is like.

Pros- ideal location close to wharf Value for money Free parking Cons Outdated rooms Bathrooms need attention/ceiling cleaned as black mold was present and paint peeling No security latch on windows in bathroom so if your having a shower someone can open it up fully and watch you. Overall id give a 3.5/ 4 stars as staff were friendly and accomadating, great location and good views. Id recommend this accomadation for short stays. Please sir if your reading this i would tell your staff to pay more attention to cleaning. Thank you
