The newly built Hangzhou airport terminal 4 is very spacious, crystal clean and high tech. Upon your arrival, you can use either your ID Or boarding pass to enter the first security gate. You will no need to present your boarding pass and ID at the boarding gate because they use facial recognition here which is more efficiency and hassle free than most of the other airports.

i went through the International custom. the airport overall is bright and huge, the infrastructure was good and looked quite new; i went straight in. there are duty free shops and restaurants at the balcony to kill time. but it's a bit warm. the most frustrating thing was waited extremely long at the custom, so better arrive the airport more time ahead.

Very very huge and big airport. Hangzhou airport had huge crowd due to Olympic Games. Well managed and had seperate queue for international Olympic players as well as escorts. I appreciate and well maintained by management of airport. Hopefully no disgrace from reviewers.

Hangzhou Airport Terminal 4 - Spacious and Futuristic I recently had the opportunity to experience Hangzhou Airport Terminal 4, and I must say it left a lasting impression. This terminal is not only massive but also boasts a futuristic design that's a sight to behold. The first thing you notice is the sheer size of the terminal – it's spacious and offers plenty of room to move around comfortably. The cleanliness adds to the overall pleasant atmosphere. However, one aspect that could be improved is the limited food options. With less than 10 choices, it falls short of catering to diverse tastes. Nevertheless, given that Hangzhou is hosting the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, I hope to see more culinary offerings in the future. On the positive side, Hangzhou Airport Terminal 4 provides free Wi-Fi, which is a lifesaver for travelers. You can obtain the Wi-Fi code by scanning your foreign passport on the large self-service screens. Just remember to snap a picture of the code before it times out. Although the internet connection was a bit slow during my visit, it's still a valuable amenity. Overall, Hangzhou Airport Terminal 4 is a modern and promising facility. With a few improvements in the food department and potential upgrades to the internet speed, it could become a top-notch travel hub. # Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games It's worth noting that Hangzhou is hosting the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, making the airport even more significant for travelers coming to enjoy this major sporting event.

If you're making a transfer and need the transfer visa, fill out the form on the right side of the visitor form counter (it's smaller than the other form in blue and WHITE), and go to the counter to the left that says "Transfer." If no one is at the counter, ask the Port people and just keep bugging them until they help you. I don't think they do it often so they were a little confused. But the agent escorted me out of customs herself and walked with me for the whole process so that even with a few snafus I was out of there in an hour. Probably could have been done in 30-45 minutes if they (and I) knew what was going on. The airport itself is big and with a nice layout, but a bit sparse. Hopefully more shops will come in the future.
