Perfect location: walking distance to the shopping area, restaurants, the Dome, and the Rhein. The hotel is stylishly decorated, very clean, very friendly staff. We had a lovely view from our room. Firm beds, where perfect.

If you are looking for a great hotel in the centre of Cologne then look no further... Very well placed between the cathedral and the old town, on a quiet street (no evening noise from the bars in the square just round the corner). All the staff very kind and welcoming with good local advice. Lovely room on the top floor, clean and we'll furnished to a high standard like the rest of the hotel. Breakfast bar (filled rolls, coffee and orange juice) included, self service in the bar area.

I really wish I could give this place five stars because from the moment we walked in, the service was good and the room was fantastic. Check in is at 3:30 and when we arrived, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our room to be ready, no problem. The room itself has all the amenities that you need. Very comfortable bed/linens and a great shower/toiletries. This place has clearly been renovated and it shows. No complaints in that area. Awesome view of the gnome Christmas market. I’m giving this place minus one star because there is no room service even though this place advertises it with a place card in the room to the restaurant downstairs called PVLS. In the evening when it was open, we had walked downstairs to order room service that only entailed two alcoholic beverages. PVLS notified us that it would take 30 minutes because they were going to “switch tables.” This seemed odd but we agreed. Went back to our room and waited, 30 minutes passed and then it was an hour that had passed with no margaritas. Nobody notified us of the ongoing delay. At this point it was time to take our business somewhere else and as we walked downstairs we stopped by the restaurant to cancel the drinks we never received only to be told that, “I was just going to start making the drinks.” By this point it was a fast pass. This place is more concerned with serving people at the restaurant than the hotel guests and is incapable of making two simple margaritas. I would skip this place if your looking to splurge in room service and just bring your own drinks.
