We were supposed to stay in Lena homestay for 4 nights. We liked the place and the owner so much that we . extended our stay The family is wonderful, Bil is very helpful with everything. We felt totaly at home and were free to use what ever we wanted in the house. The location is also very good- 5 minutes walk fron the old city, totally quiet place. I highly recommand

In our case we found that it was cheaper to book directly with the host rather than via Booking or Agoda. The room we got is a Superior on the 1st floor (the place is a homestay so there is no elevator but there are only 2 floors so that's no big deal). It's a 400m distance from the Ancient town, free bikes and motorbike rental service are provided. The air con wasn't functioning that well but all the other facilities were ok, the floor wasn't spotlessly clean but it's no problem if you wear slippers indoors. There's a lovely balcony with lots of plants in the front. The hosts were kind and extremely helpful. All in all we stayed for only 1 night and it's a pretty cheap deal so can't complain. Would recommend this place for groups of friends or young couples.

Biu (Bill) and his family are great hosts! The homestay is in a new building, very clean, close enough to the old city but not too close, so it is a quiet location. Biu offers us bicycles for free, so we went and explored the beach and villages around (~20 minutes, most of the way with a dedicated path for two-wheeled vehicles, so it was possible even for us as westerns). We had several changes in our plans during our stay (flight cancellation and more), and Biu helps us above and beyond! We are glad it all happens when we have a super attentive and kind host. The most important - it was the first time after a month in the country, that we hear firsthand about stories, challenges, beliefs in Vietnam. We had an incredible discussion that changed completely our point of view and how we experience even accidental situations on the street. I highly recommend it!
