Lovely hotel for an affordable price! I visited Paris with my boyfriend at Christmas time and chose to stay here due to the affordable price. I was surprised my the standard of the rooms, it was very clean and the bathrooms were great! The view of the sacre couer from our balcony was definitely a plus! The location of the hotel was decent. It was easy to travel around Paris and to Disneyland. However, the area around had a lot of homeless and it was quite dirty, but it didn’t affect the hotel at all. Want to say a big thanks to the South-Asian receptionist (whose name i didn’t catch) for providing such a welcoming atmosphere and being so helpful!! Would definitely recommend.

Location is very good! The room is clean and the size is decent. The bathroom is super clean, good hotel and I recommend it! 👍🏼

I just checked in today. It's November, & the thermometer can only go up to 23 degrees Celsius, its cold in this room. I asked for extra blankets, & I have to wait till the morning for blankets. Then the bathroom doors are made of frosted glass, which provides no privacy since you could practically see thru it, plus gaps with more see views, so even less privacy. I'm stuck in this hotel for the next few days because my brother & me have nowhere else to go. I don't blame the employees, I blame ownership. I don't like this hotel, will not recommend this to others.

Our experience with the staff @ the Hotel Libertel Canal Saint-Martin was not good. All of the staff were very short with everyone in our group. Our (4) Hotel rooms were all very warm and the hotel had no fans to offer. The first night the young gentleman at the front desk showed me how he could control the temperatures in the room from his desk and that the lowest temp setting was 21C/69.8F, which would have had us freezing (especially with us being from Texas), but reaching that temperature never occurred. One night we may have ticked off the young gentleman as during the night our rooms all warmed up really good...not good, and he seemed to have his best smile on his face the next morning. One morning, as my group watched, I attempted to use my best interpersonal skills to ask a simple question about a bottle of water in the room to the lady at the front desk. She got warmed up really quickly and raised her voice to a point that you would have thought I had been confrontational with her. I was kind of embarrassed for this to happen in front of my friends. On the same morning the lady in the coffee shop at the hotel was very rude to my brother-in-law. I do have to say that as we moved on to Belgium, The Netherlands, and Switzerland, some of the staff would ask where we had already been on our journey and when we mentioned France, they all had a sudden smirk and went on to tell us... that is just how they are. We did meet some nice people in the Normandy area, but needless to say, I do not think any of us will ever go back to Paris, France.

The hotel itself is located in a semi good part of Paris but the neighborhood itself has degraded throughout the years since I fist came to stay here a couple of years ago. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the food quality has degraded a bit and the kitchen staff is a bit rude to foreigners. Around the neighborhood you have places to eat, the subway is next to the hotel itself and you also have a carrefour is you need to make some quick shopping. The windows themself are literally useless (especially if your room is on the site with the street) and even with the windows closed, you hear every single noise outside. If you have business meetings in that part of the area I recommend the hotel because if the easy access to transportation, but if you're here on vacation, I don't recommend spending your holiday here.
