I heard alot about Lugano from my parents and wanted to visit and take the same pictures they did in the 70s but honestly Como was more charming. Switzerland is expensive in general so it was expected but we loved the fact that we took the train for 30 mins only from Como and crossed the borderline. Lovely but wouldn't visit it again

Lugano is a nice city located at the Lugano Lake. Easy walkable to enjoy the Swiss city.

What a gorgeous place to visit, if staying I suggest bringing lots of money or walking the credit card, it was so expensive. Things are double the price from the border of Italy but for a day to it was lovely. Wonderful gardens, lake views, gelato, window shopping of course, so many beautiful watch shops but much cheaper in the UK which is crazy as they make them in Switzerland. Lovely places to stop for a coffee, beer or something to eat doing a bit of people watching in all their designer clothes. The public toilets are free in Switzerland unlike Italy, the toilets in the Art Gallery are free and 5*. We visited a couple of churches and took in some at work, a picture painted by one of Leonardo da Vinci best apprentice who copied his version of the last supper but painted himself as Judas holding the bag of gold. The place is so clean, saw guys going around taking off any small graffiti tags, everything has a place and a place for everything. Everything is just SO. Lovely
