Some positive aspects, but not many. Clean, staff are friendly, helpful and available it has some nice decoration touches, good location to explore the city. Kitchen well equipped, baby seat and even feeding kit provided, even after requested on site, as we were told that the request was not passed on to them by the travel agency. And it stops there. Although it is indicated elsewhere as "family friendly" and shows up with some high reviews, do yourselves a favour and stay elsewhere, especially if you travel with children and are not interested in the "night scene": - it is facing a very noisy street in the party mile (Bairro Alto), there are shouts and prostitution just under the window - the window acoustic insulation is terrible, and the window glass even vibrates with loud music from outside - no shades in the windows, and the curtains let most street light get it. Add this to the noise, and you get the picture - the curtain holders fell on us in two different divisions; beware, all of them are loose, are loose and you certainly want to avoid that your children can try to operate them - the stairs to access the apartment are narrow and steep, carrying a baby stroll up requires a great deal of an effort (no elevator) - this traditional neighbourhood, made of narrow streets is closed to traffic, and only residents can drive through. You'll have to drag your bags for a while before you even get to those steep and narrow stairs - no space at all to hang or store your clothes and belongings; the appartment does have little space, and it has been maximised at the expense of storage Wish us luck making it through the first night. And to our 10 month old. There has to be a reason for writing this review at 2am.

It doesn't really get any more central. Right on the party mile and in the immediate vicinity of many great places, locations, local transport... That's why it's quite busy in the evenings and sometimes a bit loud and dirty.
