This place is good value, great location. In town, but far enough to miss most the noise at night. The pods were clean and maintained daily. The staff were also super helpful if you have any questions. Only negative was I could hear when people were running the water from my room through the night and there wasn’t much bench space in the bathrooms or showers. If you’re staying for a few nights, could be worth asking for one of the bottom pods.

The only good quality about this place is the location. Outside of that the 2 different rooms we stayed in this week were disgusting. Broken mattress, broken TVs in both rooms, lots of deterioration on the walls that need to be repainted, shower door was broke and wouldn’t close. They tried to charge us for extra towels when we explained we had to sacrifice our previous towels to stop water from flooding the bathroom (due to the broken shower door). We tried calling front desk many times at different times of day and they never answered. I understand the idea of not expecting too much for this being farely cheap accommodation with good location, but this honestly feels like they are taking advantage of that and not providing a basic minimum standard or accommodation that you would come to universally expect.

The best Queenstown hostel! Comfy and private pod in group rooms. Warm on wintertime. Nice community, help among tourists 💖 Central location 👌🏼

Stayed in the 8 person pod room. The room was so hot and there's no window in it to open. We asked at the front desk and they told us they turn the air conditioning off at 10pm...which makes no sense. With no windows they really should allow for temperature control in each room. There's fans in each pod but they don't pump out any cold air so basically pointless. We all woke up sweating overnight each night so was pretty uncomfortable. The girls bathroom on the first floor only had 1 sink and 2 toilets which makes no sense when there's so many people staying on each floor. The second floor bathroom had 2 sinks so would sometimes go up there at busy times. Despite having spacious lockers for luggage, there's hardly any floor space in the pod rooms so it's really tight when you want to take your luggage out to open it. Location and the nice upstairs common area were pretty much the only redeeming qualities.
